About Me

Hi, I'm Isabella, a portrait photographer based in Darwin, where I've called home since 2008.

I started Isabella Giffard Photography in 2020 because I believe photographs should be more than files on a hard drive. The images that matter most (the ones that make you stop when you walk past them) deserve to be printed, framed, and lived with every day.

My approach is guided but relaxed. I'll plan every detail of your experience, keep everything running smoothly, and gently direct you when you need it, but I'll also step back and let the real moments happen. The unscripted ones are usually the best ones.

I'm not a "smile at the camera" photographer. I'm the kind who notices the way your daughter looks at you when she thinks no one's watching, or the way your partner laughs when something genuinely catches them off guard. Those are the moments I'm here for.

I've wrangled plenty of little ones too. I grew up with lots of younger cousins, so rolling with the moods and catching the giggles feels completely natural to me.

When I'm not behind the camera, I'm kept company by a very cheeky Red Heeler cross who ensures my floors are never clean for long.
